'Fall Soup Recipe: Ingredients - Red kidney beans (1 can) - Cabbage (4 cups chopped) - Olive oil (1 tbs) - Spinach (I used frozen, 4 cups) - Garlic (powder or fresh) - Onion (powder or fresh) - Carrots (chopped) - Salt - Pimento paste or you can use mild red pepper instead (finely chopped) - Turkey sausage (lower calorie) - Any small soup pasta (I used Orzo) 1. Add: - Garlic - onion - olive oil & a little water. Let it brown a bit on medium 2. Add: - pimento paste or pepper (4 tbs) - carrots (1 cup) 2. Add more water for broth - Depending on how \'soupy\' you like it to be 3. When it comes to a boil - Add salt - Add your pasta (approx 1.5 cups) - Add 3 sausages (sliced) - Add the bean can (I keep the juice) *Let it boil until pasta is almost cooked *Test for salt *Add more water in between if pasta soaks it up *Lower to low-medium* 4. Add cabbage & spinach in *Let it boil on low-medium for 10 minutes 5. Shut off the stove, cover the pot & let it sit. 6. Serve & enjoy!
