'Would You Eat This Mexican Street Food? Tortas Ahogadas Guadalajara

14:58 Mar 26, 2022
'Today we are exploring the culinary city of Guadalajara in Mexico. I found some local street food known as tortas ahogadas which literally means the drowning cakes. In Mexico torta however means sandwich and the tortas ahogadas from Guadalajara are unique. They are literally drowning in a pool of tomato sauce with a lot of good taste. They way the Don jose de la bicicleta serves them is a new unique style he started doing in Guadalajara in which he dumps the Mexican sandwich into a fag full of delicious tomato sauce. When you visit Guadalajara Mexico you must try out the tortas ahogadas. Your trip isn\'t complete without doing so, the one curveball is the serving style of putting the sandwich in a bag but hey that\'s why we travel, to try new things.
