'Here we begin our Kolkata Food Tour. (This video has English Subtitles). We decided to start our food walk in Kolkata from the famous Howrah that portrays the iconic Howrah Bridge and the most populated Howrah Railway Station. Close to the bridge, on the banks of River Hoogly (River Ganges is known as Hoogly in Kolkata), is one of the oldest and the biggest railway station of India - Howrah Railway Station (biggest by the number of platforms). We walked around to explore the food near Howrah Railway Station, but decided to try something after crossing the river. However, Howrah also offers a wide spread of street food varieties from juices to meals and snacks to sweets. We then took a boat from Howrah Ghat to Fairlie Ghat. Fairlie Ghat is close to B.B.D Bagh and there we decided to start tasting the flavours of Kolkata. What did we enjoy in this food tour of Kolkata? 1. Doi Chira or Doi Cheera: It\'s in fact an authentic Bengal breakfast where flat rice is mixed with curd and sugar. To improve the taste one can add fruits (fleshy or dry). It was a bit sour and lightly sweet. The dish costs me Rs. 35/- 2. Aam Pora Sharbat: It\'s an interesting summer drink that we can find on the streets of Kolkata. Raw mangoes are roasted and the juice is extracted to mix with sugar and some salt to give a unique flavour. 1 glass of Aam Pora Sharbat costs Rs. 20/- 3. Bel Ka Sharbat: Wood Apple Juice or Stone Apple Juice is just the mixture of stone apple juice, water and black salt; another summer drinks that we can try in Kolkata. Price Rs. 10/- 4. Mango Lassi: Among all that I tried from my food tour from Howrah to Esplanade, Kolkata\'s Mango Lassi was the ultimate. Yummy sweet mango pulp blended well with lassi. (Price: Rs. 30/-)'
