'Success! Freeze Dried Meatballs! We Freeze Dried a 6 pound bag of Italian Style meatballs from Costco. I cut them in half and placed them flat side down on paper towels on the Harvest Right trays. I also covered them with paper towels just in case. The goal was to use them in Spaghetti and sauce, so we re-hydrated them under a vacuum in an attempt to speed things up. In the end, the noodles were ready but the meatballs were still hard in the middle. After an hour or so the meatballs were ready and were very good! So, the takeaway is to re-hydrate the meatballs first and give them an hour of time before you need them.
