'Joey’s House of Pizza-The Crixus Review. Nashville, Tennessee'

'Nashville\'s best pizza place. Nashville\'s best restaurant. We are entitled to an opinion and this is mine. I plan all of my visits to Joey\'s in advance. This is necessary because they are only open from 11am-3pm Monday through Friday. They concentrate all of their efforts on catering during the weekend. If I take a day off of work, I go to Joey\'s. You need to go early because the restaurant is small and you will be stuck in a line. Joey\'s is a fast-paced environment ran by individuals from New York. You better know what you want when you jump in line. Most of the time there is a line out the door. They have a variety of combos. I always get the combo, the \"Gladiator\", a side of spaghetti, and a Coke. The other options for sides include a salad and pasta salad. I chose to add a slice of cheese this time. They squirt Mozzarella on all of their cheese slices. All of their food looks delicious. We went early enough to grab a table. They are limited in seating. Around the building, you will see various awards from throughout the years of operation. They have been voted the best slice of pizza in Nashville numerous times. You will also find pictures of famous people who have visited with autographs. You will also find people behind the counter who mean business, but like to joke around with their clientele. They make sure you leave happy and with your stomach full of delicious pizza. You can order a whole pizza, but it takes a while and you need to be willing to wait at least an hour. I\'ve waited numerous times and the wait is always worth it. When you order by the slice, the wait is only around 5-10 minutes. They usually give you your salad or pasta right away. If you order dessert, they usually give that to you around the same time. The line goes from a buffet with Joey behind the counter to a cashier and you pay at the end of the line. Behind the counter, they have lots of different types of great food. Some options include: Lasagna, Baked Ziti, Calzones, Spaghetti, slice of pizza, and much more. I bet you are thinking, \"How is the food?\". Amazing, great, delicious, pleasing, delightful, heavenly, tasty, gratifying are just a few of the adjectives to describe \"Joey\'s House of Pizza\". I\'ve been going to this pizza spot for about three years and I have never had anything bad on the menu. The Gladiator is my favorite thing that Joey\'s offers. The Gladiator is one gigantic slice of pizza topped with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. It is served with marinara sauce. It is big for the average pizza eater. It is basically two slices smashed together. It is delectable. I savor every bite when I eat it. It is very thick and well worth every penny of the $2.31 that you pay for it. The Gladiator was gone within minutes. If you haven\'t tried it yet, this pizza snob LOVES it. I tried the Crixus, which is $3.33. It’s consists of pepperoni, sausage, onion, and mozzarella. It is not as popular as the Gladiator, but it was super tasty! I also had a slice of cheese pizza today. The slice was perfect. It has just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The pizza crust was on point. It wasn\'t too hard or too soft. The squirted some cheese on it and it added to it. By the time I demolished all of the pizza, I didn\'t have any room left for the chocolate cannoli that I ordered. My fiancé and future mother in-law are obsessed with them. I have had them before in the past and without a doubt, it is the best cannoli that I have ever tasted. The chocolate leaves a sweet taste, while the filling in the middle isn\'t too sweet. The combination they create is perfect! A lot of people in Nashville do not know about Joey\'s House of Pizza or have trouble getting there because of work schedules. If you have time off or are visiting Nashville, stop by this spot. I recommend this place to everyone. If there were five stars available to give this place, I\'d give it 6. I love the food here and it definitely gives you a feel for New York, while being in the best city ever, Nashville.'
