'By request - Freeze Dried Soup (and chili) - made in our Harvest Right Home Freeze Dryer. All of these items were leftovers for lunches this year dating as far back as March 2017. None of these them were home made. They were items we buy in the frozen section of Cash and Carry (except the Stagg Chili). Below is a list of the items we tried in this video: Turkey Noodle Soup Stagg Brand Chili Pasta Fagioli Soup Broccoli Cheddar Soup Chicken Gumbo Soup The turkey noodle soup took a little longer than expected for the noodles to have a reasonable texture. But both the turkey and the chicken we added before freeze drying re-constituted really well. The chili could have used a bit more water but still worked out well. The Pasta Fagioli was odd. We think the issue was with the red beans not fully hydrating but we are not sure. The Broccoli Cheddar was great. Nice and creamy and the broccoli was just like when we made that batch. The Chicken Gumbo was pretty darn good. The Okra actually re-hydrated well, but the green peppers had a strange spongy texture. All in all, this was a fun few days of taste testing!
