01:53:21 Feb 12
'The United Nations World Food Programme noted that around 265 million people especially the poor and vulnerable ones could face acute food insecurity by the end of 2020 as COVID-19 crisis continues to impact business movements and incomes. Unless measures and policy actions are taken fast by the national government, we will risk a looming food crisis. As we navigate with the new normal, how will the pandemic affect food security, supply chain and agricultural livelihoods? This May 14, Department of Agriculture Secretary William Dar and Department of Trade and Industry Director Raquel B. Echague will discuss the implications of the COVID-19 situation in food production, agricultural and fishery/aquaculture, supply chains and markets among others. Joining them is PMAP Past President and concurrently the Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation External Affairs Head Barbie Atienza.'
