While you are doing this don\'t put too many pellets into his food dish or they will just look boring to him. Also, don\'t feed him only pellets. He needs a mix of seeds and pellets. Even if your hamster starts eating the pellets he still might not like them so he will eat the other food first. Give him some time to eat the pellets too but don\'t starve him. Make sure you are doing this only if you have a good quality food mixture. In cheap hamster food, pellets are usually used as filler for the company to make money so there is not a lot of benefit in getting your hamster to eat them. Always make sure you check the nutritional values of the food. For most adult hamsters nutritional values have to be: protein 17-19%, fat 4-7% and fiber 6-15%.'
