Xinjaing cuisine is very popular in Shanghai and there are numerous Xingjian restaurants. From hole-in-the-wall lamb skewer shop to 5 star luxury restaurant, you can find just about anything you want in Shanghai.  With such steep competition, restaurants had to step up their game and provide top quality food. Being one of the most popular and top rated Xinjiang restaurant, 那時新疆 really serves up great quality food at a good price.  The entire atmosphere is designed to make sure feel like you are in the far west, but with a modern touch. The menu was pretty extensive and we had a hard time decide what to eat. Everything looks so good. We ended up picking a few \"must eat\" items such as: 1. Lamb skwer 2. Larger lamb skwer on a wooden stick 3. Hand pull/grab rice 4. Big plate chicken 5. Baked stuffed lamb bun 6. Xinjiang yogurt 7. Xinjaing milk tea 8. Cold mixed noodles 9. Soup with assorted lamb parts  My favorite is the big plate chicken. THE BEST I\'ve had in Shanghai. Baked stuffed lamb bun (烤包子) was amazing as well. crispy outside, moist meaty juicy inside. The lamb skewer on 紅柳 was top notch as well. Meaty, slightly chewy, but still really tender and flavorful.  Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I definitely felt I traveled to Xinjiang with my taste bud. Will definitely go back again!
