Bad smell wafted from the prolonged storage of the decomposed food and an ulcerated lip commissure. I advised the lady owner to limit food supply and evacuate cheek pouch regularly. The best solution is to surgically remove the cheek pouch as the pet hamster has no need of a cheek pouch to hoard food. The owner decided on surgery. .'
